My favorite kitchen fact, that I learned at Daniel Boulud's DB Bistro, is how to cook lobster in boiling water. The trick is as follows; 3 minutes for the legs, 4 minutes for the tails and 5 minutes for the pinchers. And as you say those numbers, you hold up three fingers and make little leg movements with them, then four fingers to make a wave like a tail and five fingers to pinch like the pinchers! Does this make sense? Maybe we need a video!
